A's Story - North Bay Regional Health Centre, North Bay

April 17, 2016 - I went to the hospital to deliver my baby girl. I got there and was there about an hour before I started pushing. Dr. Agboola was the doctor who delivered my baby and he didn't listen to me at all. He gave me stitches I didn't need and he failed to tell me my placenta didn't come out whole, instead I found out later that day, hours after having baby by having a piece of it roll down my pant leg while on my way to the bathroom.

The doctor didn't come see me after the nurse came and took it. Nobody checked me or my baby at all. My mom asked the nurse to check the next day before we were discharged but they never did and said I was fine. I was only home for a day before I had to go back to the ER. I ended up having an infection in my uterus and was admitted with my newborn to the paediatric ward for a week.

When I think back to this experience it makes me angry. I could have died and they didn't seem to care. Having this experience makes me not to want to go to a hospital again.

I've had many friends who had the same doctor who have also had problems with him. We sent a complaint to the hospital but received no reply.
